Ingeborg Knoff

3/11/36— 5/30/23

Found eternal peace on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the age of 87 surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Germany where she was raised in a town called Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps.  She loved skiing, hiking, and traveling.  She came to the U.S. in 1955 and settled in Milwaukee where she met the love of her life, Hans. They married on July 19th, 1958, and raised a family in Greenfield, WI.

Beloved wife of Hans for 64 years.  Preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Friedel.  Dear mother of Gary (Stephanie) Knoff, Jody Campbell (Rich), and Mary Kaczmarek (Jason).  Oma to Ryan, Jessica (Stephen), Kai, Derrick (Natasha), Bethany (Noah), Ambree, Jacob, Alyssa, and Sam.  Further survived by great-grandchildren Mason, Harleigh, Camden, Ella, London, and Beckham.

Inge’s greatest passion was gardening vegetables and flowers with Hans.  She was known for making family recipes and homemade jam. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing. Her favorite pastime was having get-togethers with family and friends and playing Sheepshead and other games.  She especially loved escaping to the Dutch Hollow lake house she and Hans built together.

Inge was a woman of great strength and compassion.  She had a big heart and was always supportive and generous to her family and those in need.  Her greatest words of wisdom were “Always do and be your best.”

With all our love, you will always be held deep in our hearts, and greatly missed.

A private service and celebration of life will be held at Heritage Funeral home in New Berlin, WI on Friday, June 16, 2023.

The family welcomes you to make contributions to establish a memorial for Inge at Boerner Botanical Gardens at https://everloved.com/life-of/ingeborg-knoff.
