Lacitis
June 12th, 2021 Inta Lacitis passed peacefully at the age of 84. Born in Aluksne, Latvia, refugeed in post-war Germany, Lubeck before immigrating to the US. Inta lived a zestful life in Milwaukee, Boston, LA, Port Washington and elsewhere. A graduate of UW Milwaukee in Biology. She worked at the Medical College of Wis in orthopedic research. She belonged to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church, the sorority Imeria and spent many summers camping at Garezers. Inta enjoyed engaging with her friends and family in lively debate over a well prepared meal or a glass of wine. She loved cats, bears, gambling and ginger ale.
Preceded in death by her brother Ivar Hunter. Dear sister to Inara Lagzdins (Miami) and Val Ziedins (KC). Cherished aunt of Dee (Tim) Trier (St Pete), Harry (Robin) Hunter (Chicago), Mara (George) Apergis (NY), Erik Lagzdins (Riga). Survived by many friends & family in the US & Latvia.
A private memorial service to be held later. Special thanks to St Croix Hospice and Muskego Health Care for their kindness and steadfast care of her.
