Irvin “Irv” Koren

February 21, 2025, age 93, of Cedarburg, WI.  Loving and adored husband of Phyllis R. Koren (nee Koppel). Together they have 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.  Further survived by his dear sister and other dear family and friends.

Irv was born on Veterans Day in 1931 and was a veteran who served in the Korean War.  Irv worked in the insurance industry since 1968. Later, he opened his own agency in Cedarburg and just recently retired in June of 2024. He loved going to the office, carefully serving his clients as if they were family and mingling with all the other business members in the building.

He was an avid sports fan and in his free time you’d often find him watching sports on tv. His favorite was football.  He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, always wearing his Packer clothes during every football game and cheering out loud as if he were there in the stands.  He also loved music, all types of music and usually he’d be singing along to whatever he was listening to.

Nothing brought him more happiness than being with Phyllis, who was the love of his life.  Spending time with his family and attending family events was also top on his list and usually documented with photos he’d taken and then shared afterwards with everyone who was in attendance.

Irv loved life! His core values included being humble, being honest, working hard and treating others with respect.  Irv had a great sense of humor and particularly enjoyed making others laugh.  Irv’s kind devotion to all he loved and who loved him back will never be forgotten.

A private burial was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial tribute to the charity of your choice is appreciated.
