Born to eternal life May 18, 2008 age 95. Dear husband of Joan Skocir. Father of Catherine Jeffrey Skocir-Stehr, Michael Skocir, and Lisa Steven Lyons. Grandfather of Kate and Thomas Stehr, Hannah and Jacob “Jack” Lyons. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed., 5 PM, at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CHURCH, 3160 S. 63rd St. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:30 PM until the time of Mass. Interment at Arlington Park Cemetery.

Jacob was a proud member of the military for 24 yrs., having served in World War II and retiring as a major. Jacob also was a member of the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra for more than 70 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Gregory’s/St. Ben’s Meal Program.
