It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James “Jim” A. Piotrowski – “Pio”, a beloved husband, father, and member of his community. Jim was born on April 16, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and peacefully passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 91.

A dedicated employee of G.E Medical, Jim was not only a skilled designer but also a proud US Army Veteran. His commitment to his work and his country was unmatched. Outside of his professional life, James was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where his faith and community involvement were important aspects of his life.

In his free time, Jim found joy in hobbies such as painting and wood carving, showcasing his creativity and passion for the arts. He was a man of many talents and made a lasting impact on those around him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, Shirley, his son Tom (Nadine), his daughter Sandra (Jim), his grandchildren Nicholas (Emily), Lauren (Truman), Emily (Joe) and his great-grandchildren Olivia, Paige Tinsley, Isla and another little girl due in November. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services and ceremonies to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at Heritage Funeral Homes (4800 S. 84th St. Greenfield) on Sunday, September 29, 2024.  A visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew (Ann) Piotrowski.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was cherished and will always be remembered for the legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind.

    Such a beautiful remembrance video. Loved that it ended with the joy of him dancing with friends and family. It was an honor to have met him. May God bless you and may you be comforted knowing he’s at peace and in the arms of our loving, Heavenly Father.
