found peace Thursday March 21, 2002 age 82 yrs. at Kiwanis Manor NH. East Troy, where he resided since 1988. Born April 6, 1919 in Troy Center to parents John J. and Rose T. Huttner Schwartz. He was a lifelong resident of the East Troy area and attended the East Troy Schools as well as a lifelong member of St Peters Catholic Church. James served in the US Army in WWII. He worked for his brother at the John Schwartz Excavating Company in East Troy.
He is survived by 1 brother: John Jeanette Schwartz of East Troy. 1 sister: Mary the late Basil Schmidt of East Troy. 8 nieces and nephews: Donald Susan Schwartz of Glencoe, IL., James Jeanne Schwartz of Burnsville, MN., John Susan Schmidt of East Troy, Janet Jon Schmidt of Madison, Judith Robert Atkinson , Ellen Dennis Hardaker , John Julie Schwartz and Barbara Mueller , all of East Troy. 14 Great nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Ruth Schwartz, Key Largo, Florida, cousins, other relatives and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Carroll, Bernard and Robert and a nephew Jeffrey Schmidt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 26, 2002 at 11 AM at ST PETERS CATHOLIC CHURCH 1981 Beulah Ave. East Troy with visitation from 10 Am until the time of service. Fr. John Twomey officiating. Interment St Peters Cemetery to follow. In lieu of Flowers memorials to Kiwanis Manor Nursing Home would be appreciated.
