Called by the Lord to the fullness of Eternal Life on Wed., May 5, 2004. Beloved husband of Dorothy nee Slomski. Loving father of David Kathy, Michael Carol and John Brenda. Proud grandfather of Adam, Kate, Brandon, Justine, ZacharyRyan, Nicholas, Ryan, Jonathan and Kaitlyn. Further survived by one brother, Arthur, and one sister, Loretta Stadler, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Michael, and four sisters, Leona, Marion, Ethel, and Marge.
Visitation will be on Monday at the Funeral Home from 4-8 PM with a 6 PM Prayer Vigil and Tuesday at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CHURCH, S. 60th and W. Oklahoma Ave. from 9:30-10 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery to follow.
Jim owned his own business and performed his art as a master furniture finisher for 50+ years. Jim was also an active member of St. Gregory’s Parish where he served on the Parish Council, the Holy Name Society, coached basketball for many years and was a leader of numerous events including variety shows and the fall festival. He was proud to be a World War II Navy veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Gregory’s Organ Replacement Fund or the American Cancer Society deeply appreciated.
