Jane Ann French (nee Quick) April 28, 1939 – February 8, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane Ann French during the early hours of Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at the age of 85. Known as Peewee or Janie to her friends, her gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering devotion enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Ellen Quick (nee Timilin). Jane was a loving mother to Anne and Doug, whose lives were deeply influenced by her care and wisdom. She was a devoted grandmother to Lennox, Joe, and Olive, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and love that will be cherished by her family for generations. Jane was bestowed the title of godmother many times over and extended her nurturing heart beyond her immediate family, touching countless lives with her compassion and support. Her life was also happily intertwined with that of her significant other, Harry Grinwald, with whom she shared many cherished moments. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect.

Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and honor the time they spent with her.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Sunday, February 16th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, located at 6615 W.  Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee, WI  53219. Service to be held at 2:30 PM.

Jane’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.  May she rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor would be appreciated.
