It was truly a gift to get to be neighbors with Janyce. She quickly became someone I wanted to spend more time with, and now someone I greatly wish I had MORE time with. Janyce was kind, sharp as tack, sassy in the very best way and 100% classy. She was witty, and had a fantastic sense of humor, often making me laugh when I least expected it. She inadvertently got me listening to instrumental jazz. I could always count on her for a fun breakfast or lunch date. Getting to join Janyce on one of her daily walks was always an opportunity I wasn’t about to miss– chatting with eachother while getting some extra steps in on our smart watches. It wasn’t unusual for me to get a text from her that said “remember to go vote!,” on election day.. we enjoyed talking politics together. If I was in need of a good book recommendation, that was also made into a movie, Janyce always had one.. I’m still going to keep working on those. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting her Danny, I am certain she was as loyal of a wife as she was a friend and neighbor. It was clear by the way she talked about him, how much she loved him. Losing Janyce has been such an unexpected shock, and to say she will be deeply missed by myself and others in our neighborhood is beyond an understatement. My heart truly hurts. It was an absolute blessing to know this amazing woman.
My continued prayers to Janyce’s family and all who loved her. ♡
