Stephenson, Jeanette Carol
nee Jensen of Franksville, age 83, embraced by her loving and devoted family, was called by her Lord and peacefully passed on to be with Him on Tuesday, December 16, 2003. Jeanette was born on September 22, 1920, in Racine, to Robert and Frieda Jensen. She lived with Roy and Myrtle Jensen at Raymond Center for several years. After graduating from Horlick High School and Racine County Normal School, Jeanette taught at Waite’s Corners School.
She and Earl James Stephenson were the first couple to be married in the Raymond Congregational Church on April 26, 1941. Together they farmed the family homestead and were very actively involved with their children and grandchildren, their church and their community. Jeanette is survived by Earl, her devoted husband of 63 years; and her loving children, David Jan Stephenson, Carol Wayne Beckman and Donald Linda Stephenson. She adored her grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss her: Amy Gary Beck and Nicholas; Kristen John Gendron, Jared, Kyle and Kaleb; Lisa Krueger, Ben and Brianna; Stephanie Jeff James, Jacob and Jessica; Jon Charlotte Stephenson; Laura Steve Ball and Emily; Kathy Jeff Ehrhart, Justin and Kevin; and Julie Mike Baker, Katie and Megan. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Violet Schultz of Whitewater and Marge Jensen of Oak Creek; her brother-in-law, Earl Jensen of Union Grove; her cousins and their families with whom she laughed often; her loving nieces, nephews, and their families; her caregiver Walter Dylag; and many neighbors, friends, and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law; her sister and brother-in-law, Louise Arnold Nelson; her brother, Robert Jensen, Jr.; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby Robert Vyvyan Jr.; her sister-in-law Gladys Jensen; her brother-in-law, Clarence Schultz; and aunts and uncles. Services to celebrate Jeanette’s life will be conducted by Pastor Manda Stack at 7 PM Friday, December 19, 2003, at Raymond Community Church, 8217 West Six Mile Road Highway G. Visitation will precede the services from 4 until 7 PM. Interment will be Saturday 11 AM at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers and other memorials, the family would appreciate that donations be made to the Raymond Community Church Memorial Fund.
