Jeff Golla

Went home to be with the Lord after an unexpected illness on Monday, November 18, 2024 at age 70. Loving husband to Sharon for 50 years. Beloved father to Kelly (Tom) Gaulke and Katie Troyer. Special grandpa to Jacob, Caleb, and Lily. Further survived by his dear sister, Georgia (Kent), nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, but also had a passion for carpentry.

Jeff will be remembered for always being there for his family, his many friends, and the Amish community in Richland Center.

In honor of Jeff and his love for the outdoors (and it being deer hunting season), we invite you to come celebrate his life in your best blaze orange, flannel plaid shirt, or camouflage. He was a down to earth man and dressing up fancy was never his thing. We look forward to seeing all of you and  hearing your special memories with him.

A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 11 am – 1 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (4800 S. 84th St Greenfield, WI) with a memorial service to follow at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Ronald McDonald House are appreciated.

Our condolences to Sharon and the family. We have two memories we would like to share. The first was Jeff getting his 14-point buck in the morning (by 8am which he would have done Saturday. but I think the best memory was stopping at the Pinecone and watching Jeff enjoying his breakfast eating his eggs fried potatoes toast and oh yeah i forgot the biggest and best memory of all watching him eat his 36 oz Porterhouse with not one piece of meat left on the bone. Thanks for the memories
for the great memories Jeff, we will be thinking of you Saturday when you bag that buck. Thanks for the memories,

    Don and Jeff Bengsch

Jeff was one of the best human beings and hands down the best neighbor we’ve ever had! Always there to lend a helping hand or a good word! We will miss you more than words can say. Our prayers are with Sharon and the family. May his memory be eternal.🙏. Love Elaine and Ava

Jeff started out as a customer fishing with me on the Mississippi River, but soon became a friend. We spent many days together searching for and catching Northern Pike, Bluegills, and Crappies. We were together just a short time ago and it’s hard to believe he won’t be with me again but his spirit will always be with me.
“Get ‘em in the boat, my friend.” You will be missed.

My favorite and last memory of Jeff is when Sharon and Jeff came to spend day with us last month at our place up north and taught us how to play card game “Kings in the corner”.

We met as neighbors years ago and became good friends. .We will miss him…. Dee and Gary

Sharon, I’m sorry I was unable to come to Jeff’s funeral. Family emergency prevented it. I was already to come with the exact same outfit I wore every year I hunted with Jeff, and the Dehli’s during gun season up in Boaz. I was there when the cabin went up and even made up a construction lien notice and stapled it to the inside of the unfinished wall. Lots of great memories with Sam the farmer and we killed a lot of deer during those years. My cousin Brian Mascari became a regular and even my Uncle Bob Hawkinson helped paint the place. “Ray” was why I got into English Pointers and in return I think I got you a really good English setter “Trigger”

Good men like him are rare and Jeff will be missed greatly.
