Kaphingst, Jerome Emil “Jerry”

Peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 age 90 years. Loving husband of Ruth (nee Sorge) for 65 years. Dear father of Jayne (Glenn) Gaszak, Tom (Judi Gentile) Kaphingst, the late Wendy Johnson, Julie (Pastor John) Brunette and Linda (Paul) Popa. Father in law of Tom (Tracey) Johnson. Brother of the late Emojean (the late William) Wood and the late Richard (Ruth) Kaphingst. Brother in law and best friend of the late Ron (Dory) Yale. Papa Jerry of Sarah (Scott) Edwards, Amy (Steve) Doering, Robin (Eric) Williams, Bob Gaszak, Angela (Eric) Richey, Ryan (Jenna) Johnson, Jackie (Andrew) Sheffield, Gina (Joe) Leonard, Zak (Taylor) Fredrick, Rachel (Chris) Gunby, Hannah (Ben) Boggs, Joy Brunette, Michala Brunette, Brittany Popa, Morgan Popa, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by grandson Andrew Brunette and son-in-law Donald Monfils. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry retired in 1986 after 40 years from Wisconsin Bell “Ma Bell”.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at LIVING WORD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2240 Living Word Lane in Jackson, WI from 10 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12 Noon.
