Jerry went home Friday, June 1, 2007 to be with Jesus. He was born September 29, 1914. He was 92 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Barbara Novotny, his wife of 46years KathrynNee Gerard, his brother and sisters CharlesAgnes, HelenClarence and MarieFrederick. He was survived by his daughter Jeanette Baker, his grandchildren HeatherJohnRyan, Erich Browne, SimoneRyoBaker and Nickey Baker, his great-granddaughter Samantha Kathryn Ryan. Special uncle of Toni Balistrieri and BarbaraJ.J. Jennings. Good friend and neighbor of Pat Hughes. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation Wednesday, June 6, from 9:00AM until 10:30AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3160 S. 63rd St. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Jerry was a retired employee of Pressed Steel Tank Company where he worked for 36 years. He was a Red Coat volunteer at West Allis Memorial Hospital for 8 years. He served his country in the US Army at the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He loved to golf, bowl and dance.
