Passed away on Monday Feb. 1, 2016, age 62 years. Loving father of Liam Ortman. Brother of Katherine(Monty) Edson. Former husband of Sonja Ohren.

John was a lifelong Blackhawks fan and loved discussing politics. He will miss his friends from the Mens Residence at Rogers Park, his co-workers at United Healthcare, and his clients that he helped over the years with his social work. John took great pride in his work and was an avid music fan.
