Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of John. May words of encouragement uplift your spirit at this difficult time. John touched many lives and will be thought of often. In the hard days to come may the many wonderful memories of his life give you comfort. Something we have personally found to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28 “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus) voice and come out “. The death of a loved one is extremely painful but have faith in God Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection.

I have fond memories of John. I remember “Johnny” from my childhood as my parent’s backyard was uphill from his childhood backyard. We Halbach’s, and sometimes John, would sled down into his backyard.

As we grieve let’s tell the stories and be grateful for the memories.

I’m sadden to hear of John’s passing. I knew him as Johnny growing up. I have fond memories of being in his home as a kid. He introduced me to model trains. I remember sledding down from Halbach’s home onto his yard. So much fun we had. He was such a good sport being the only boy in a neighborhood of girls. Such a good sport he was. I know you will be missed by many.

John and I were Corvette buddies about 30 years ago. I was envious that his car won a very prestigious award at the famous Bloomington corvette show in Illinois. We had lots of fun attending car gatherings for several years.
