Friday March 24, 2006 at age 87. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Father of Robert Barbara Lando, Patricia Richard Gumpert and Debra William Balsiger. Grandfather of Abby Thomas Wagner, David Lando and Elizabeth Balsiger. Great-grandfather of Madison and Julia Wagner. Longtime and loving companion of Hedy Woods. Brother of Emilie Czajkowski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 AM at ST. RITA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, S. 60th and W. Lincoln Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.

John was past president of Modern Cabinet and Restaurant Supply; a member of Knights of Columbus West Allis Council 3095 since 1967; past Grand Knight of Council 3095; past president of the Columbus Club; past Navigator of Msg. Arnold Assembly; past president of the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Holy Name Union; a recipient of the “Only Jesus” Award and many others including the Medalion which is the highest award given to a Knight in the state of Wisconsin; and past president of the First Friday Group.
