John H. Sellman

John H. Sellman, 71 ended his life’s journey on September 15, 2018. Loving and caring husband of Shirley (nee Riemann), and step father to Shannon (Yancy) Suber. Brother of Julie (Greg) Hendee and Robert Sellman. Preceded in death by his parents Melvin Robert and Millie Ann Sellman.

John was a Yooper, born in Manistique, MI and served his country to the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

A history major and avid sports fan, he never missed a Michigan Wolverine football game and always rooted for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He was one of a kind lived life his own way.

He is further survived by Nancy and Mike O’Toole, Tom Riemann, the late Robert Riemann, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dear friend of Cliff and Patty Cool and Julie and Randy Liebelt. A special thank you to Mike and Diane Gyurina and Dr. M. Mody and staff at the VA Hospital.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at the FUNERAL HOME from 11 AM to 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 1 PM. Interment Southern Wisconsin Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Fisher House Wisconsin are appreciated.
