Mayer, John J.
Passed away April 3, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Husband of the late Dolores nee Hetzel. Father of John Jr. and Michael Mayer. Stepfather of Gordon Diane, David Debra, Jerald Nanette, and James Judy Hetzel. Dear friend of Diane Voelkel, Paul Wnuczek, Jeanette and Sarah Wissing, and Tom, Nancy, and Tim Nowak. Further survived by grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at ST. FLORIAN CHURCH 1233 S. 45th St. from 4:30 PM ? 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 6:30 PM. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Special thanks to the staff at the VA hospital for their excellent care. John was proud to be honorably discharged from the Army, a survivor of The Battle of the Bulge, and a member of American Legion Post 411. John was a retired employee of Milwaukee County and the Postal Service.
