John “Jack” T. James

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at age 82. Beloved husband of Barbara for 50 wonderful years. Loving father to Steve (Silvia), Jackie, Tracey (Brian) Miller, and Robbyn (David) Gaska. Cherished grandpa to Nathan Gaska, Dominic Gaska, Rhiannon Gaska, and Natalie Miller. Brother to Dee Koehn-Treibel and Robert (Sharon). Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Josephine; his sister, Eleanor Vitrano, and brother, Richard.

John was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and watching sports. He loved the Bucks, Brewers, Packers, and Badgers.

A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 5 pm – 7 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (16880 W National Ave. New Berlin) with a memorial service to follow at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church (ELCA) – Brookfield.

First of all our condolences. Second I would have to say my best memory of jack is the family cook out and him burning the corn that was some awesome corn and he always smiling and laughing and most of all is the last forty five years I well miss him

Dear Barb and Family., We were so sorry to hear that Jack has passed. Always enjoyed our times together at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
