Called home to the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2009 age 82 years. Beloved husband of Carolyn nee Gorse. Dear father of Cindy Arnold Krumnauer, Doug Vicki and Darryl Marika Mertz. Loving grandfather of Tracey Jason Wilmot, Chad Krumnauer, Joel, Joshua, Jacob and Jeremiah Mertz, Kaleb, Korey and Kira Mertz. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service Saturday, May 9, 2009 3:30 pm at HALES CORNERS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 12300 W. Janesville Rd. Private entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Saturday at the church from 1:30 pm until the time of the service 3:30 pm.

John was proud to have been a WWII Navy Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hales Corners Lutheran Church Foundation or SteepleView, Inc. greatly appreciated.
