John W. Grobe

Born to eternal life: John “Jack” William Grobe departed this earthly life, Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Mankato, MN. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 29 at Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1642 S. 77th St. in West Allis. Burial will be 9 a.m., Monday, November 30 at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, WI. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the time of the service on Sunday at the church.

John is survived by his daughter, Joy Allen Enter of Nicollet, MN; grandchildren and great grandchildren, John Liz Enter, Amelia, Gideon and Liam, Abraham Renee Enter, Moses and Genesis; Erin Christopher Koschnitzke, Micah, Chloe, Quinn and Faith; Jacob Sarah Enter, William, Olivia and Andrew; Hannah Michael Prahl, Madeline, Katherine and Julia. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Grobe; daughter, Cheryl Kay Grobe.

John William Grobe was born on June 27, 1917 to Edward and Ella Ahlvers Grobe in Milwaukee, WI. On April 23, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ruth Kleist at Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Allis, WI. John was employed for 40 years at Kearney & Trecker Milwaukee Machine & Tool.
