Passed away Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Dear husband of the late Dolores. Loving father of Christine (Walter) Jacobs, Joseph (Susan), Mary Ellen (the late Robert) Belcher, Julie (Robert) Gale, Jane (David) Kane, Terry (Mike Sandberg) Puhek-Sandberg. Proud grandpa of 11 and grandpa great of 5. Caring brother of Sr. Margaret Anne Puhek SSSF and Eileen (Lester) Hackney. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 4:30 to 7 pm @ St. Rita Church (2318 S. 61st St.) with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7pm. Interment Wood National Cemetery. Joe was a proud Army veteran of WWII and a longtime volunteer at Aurora West Allis Medical Center. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or Zilber Hospice appreciated.
