Of Town of Raymond. Passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004 age 75 years. Beloved husband of Mary Alice nee Perse. Dear father of Mary Jo Keith Schmidt, Robert Debra, James Kristi Bergles. Loving grandfather of Keith Fiance Heather, Michael Schmidt, Joseph, Joshua and Rachel Bergles. Brother of Ann Schroeder, Helen Spurney, Edward, Leo Beverly and the late Frank Bergles. Brother-in-law of James Edith, Richard Linda and Roland Perse. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Wednesday, June 9, 2004 11 AM at RAYMOND COMMUNITY UCC, 8217 W. Six Mile Road. The Rev. Manda Stack officiating. In state Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 4-8 PM and Wednesday at the church from 10 AM until time of service 11 AM.

Joe was proud to be a lifelong resident of the Town of Raymond. Joe graduated from Marquette University with an Electrical Engineering Degree, he worked for many years in the aerospace industry and in his retirement he founded J. Bergles Inc. as a master plumber. Throughout the years, Joe served the Town of Raymond as Chairman of the Planning Commission, Town Supervisor and presently on the Land Use Development Committee, he also was a founding member of the Raymond Fourth of July Festival, and a charter member of the Raymond Trailbreakers. Joe was happy when he was flying an airplane or digging a ditch.
