Called home after three years and three battles with metastatic melanoma and brain cancer on Monday, June 22, 2015 age 61 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Lisa and proud dad of Annie Matte. Loving father of Laura (Ken) Bennett and John (Tonya) Hojnicki. Cherished son of Irene Hojnicki and the late Joseph Hojnicki, Sr. Brother of Patti (Carl) Addison, Diane (Chris) Thompson and Michael (Barbie) Hojnicki. Further survived by 6 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, June 26 from 4-6 PM with a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.

Joe’s life began in Delaware. Growing up in a firefighting family Joe continued in that tradition. His retinitis pigmentosa did not stop him from his love of golf, skiing and sports.
