Joyce Marie
Truby
Truby, Joyce M.
Passed away April 11, 2017 at the age of 72 years. Joyce was born on July 26, 1944 in Washington, D.C. When her father was assigned to the Philippines in 1945, Joyce and her mother moved back to Milwaukee. There she grew up and graduated from Pulaski High School 1962.
Joyce worked for several companies in the Milwaukee area but her main job was working as a medical transcriptionist at the Blood Center of Wisconsin for 34 years. Joyce loved her job and the mission of the Blood Center so much that she volunteered to be one of the first non-related bone marrow donors in the nation. Joyce was also an active member of Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church where she sung in the choir for many years. Joyce was also a great lover of animals and supported a number of animal welfare organizations.
Joyce is survived by her brothers, Mark, John (Melody), and Richard (Pamela) and a nephew William (Beth) Truby. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Truby.
Per the family’s wishes there will be no memorial service and just a private interment service at the cemetery.
You can keep Joyce’s memory alive by treating all people and animals in your life with kindness and respect.
