Juan
Carrasco Sr.
Juan Carrasco Sr. was born September 2, 1932, in Falfurrias, Texas and passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 89 years of age. He was born into a large family and raised by his grandparents. As a young man, he worked on a ranch and lived in Texas until he married Evangelina (Eva) Navarro (June 3, 1934, – August 18, 2000) in 1961 and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In Milwaukee, Juan and Eva started their family, and Juan worked as a longshoreman for Hansen Seaway. Eva taught at Vieau Elementary School. Juan and Eva had three children, Marizelda (Teenie) Rosas (January 29, 1963 – July 26, 2007), Juan Jr. (Hito) and Mária Seifert. He loved going to the ballet, watching All-Star Wrestling and telenovelas. In the late 70s, Juan suffered significant injuries to both his legs in a work accident, and over time, made a miraculous recovery. After Eva retired in the early 90s, Juan and Eva spent their days camping and traveling across the United States.
In his later years, Juan was constantly surrounded by family at his house in New Berlin, Wisconsin. He is survived by his daughter Teenie’s children, Evangelina (Evita) Villafunetes, her husband Joél and daughter Zoe, and Audriana (Beanie) Rosas. Juan is also survived by his son Juan Jr., Juan Jr.’s wife Kerry and daughters Candra Carrasco, Candra’s sons Noah and Jerzey, Jerrica Lanza, her husband Joey, and children Christian and Savannah, Candra and Jerrica’s mother Lisa DeGreef and Kerry’s daughter Carly. Lastly, he is survived by his daughter Mária, her husband Paul and children Isabelle, Ava, and Gabe.
Juan will be remembered for the twinkle in his eye, the red hanky that could always be found tucked in the back pocket of his jeans, long-sleeved button-ups and dusty baseball caps, the breakfast outings he loved to go on, and his legacy of hard work and prosperity lived out today by his amazing children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

I remember my Tio Juan and Tia Eva while going to visit my Grandparents in Falfurrias. I only remember his oldest Daughter because at the time she was still a Toddler. He had come to visit my Parents in Houston TX twice and came in a hurry when he found out that our Mother Rosa had Cancer. My Mom was his Oldest Sister. We love him very much and he will be greatly missed.
I remember Juan from years ago. His wife and I both worked at Zablocki School. We were good friends Juan was a gentle, caring, and kind man. He was a family man who treasured his wife and children of who he always spoke of. I haven’t seen him in many years but I am happy that I got to meet and to know him and his family. Rest In Peace Mr. Carasco. .You are together again with your beautiful wife Eva!
