Judith Ann
Smith
Judith Ann Smith, (nee Rohatsch), beloved daughter of Frank and Cecelia Rohatsch, of Cudahy, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 18, 2014 at Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice. She was 76 years old.
Judy is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 57 years, Robert, her adoring children, Christine, Pamela Jean (Jeff Rodman) and Michael Alan (Sandra Marie), her cherished grandson, Kristopher Michael Raasch (Kelly Rae) and her beloved great-grandchildren, Addison Jane and Aiden Kristopher. She is further survived by her niece and nephews, Frank (Bonita) Umbs, Russell (Nancy) Umbs, James Umbs and Susan (Jeff) Amundson and great-nephew Jacob Umbs and great-niece Abigail Umbs.
Judy had a quick wit, great sense of humor, and memorable laugh. She enjoyed socializing with her family and friends, supported the local performing arts and was an avid animal lover. She was a diehard Packer Fan and loved Brett Favre. She loved going to the movies, especially Westerns, fine dining and attending all the local festivals held annually. She enjoyed the simple things life could offer; a gentle rain fall, watching a spectacular lightening show or listening to the cardinals sing outside her window every day. She retired from Boston Store where she had numerous friends and fond memories, but her true passion for life was her family and despite her health issues, would do anything for them.
Judy was a beautiful soul, and had the kindest and most compassionate heart. She always displayed the utmost patience and tenderness towards others. Judy’s warmth and love touched all those who knew her and will be remembered forever.
Judy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Allen and his staff, especially Jewel, for their wonderful care and genuine concern for her during these past few years. They helped to make Judy’s life as happy and productive as possible and we are very grateful for that. Judy’s family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and aides from Aurora Visiting Nurse Association for the tender loving care they gave Judy at home these past few months. Special thanks to Kathy for the compassion she showed and the pampering she gave Judy by giving her special “spa days”. The family would also like to express their profound gratitude to Dr. Glenn Ragalie and his staff at the Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice where she received extraordinary care, comfort and support during her final days.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice, 1155 Honey Creek Parkway, Wauwatosa, WI 53213
Judy is finally at peace in heaven surrounded by her loving family and friends.
