Pesec, Julia A.
nee Povsic Passed away Fri. Apr. 4, 2008 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Frank Pesec and loving daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Povsic. Also preceded in death be all her dear sisters: Mary “Mimi” Debelak, Ann Grambow and Frieda Turck, as well as her late sister-in-law, Roberta Ackerman. Loved and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and many friends. A masterful baker, Julia made and shared her world class strudel to the delight of all. With quiet dignity, she always enjoyed a good polka, party, concert or any good time with friends and family. A good and giving heart is stilled. Longtime employee and skilled pattern maker at Eagle Knitting Mills. A staunch Slovenian, she was a member of the Sloga Lodge 1994, Slovian Women’s Club Union #12, S.N.P.J., and the Milwaukee Slovenian Retirees Club. Many thanks go to the staff members at Franciscan Villa for their kind care of Julia. Visitation Wed. Apr. 9th, 9-10am with funeral services at 10am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery- Chapel of Angels, 3801 W. Morgan Ave. Fr. Dave Cooper officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sloga Lodge, Franciscan Villa or UWM Slovenian Program appreciated.
