Celebrating the Life of Karen J. Emanuele
(nee Persick)
May 20, 1954 – May 9, 2024
Karen J. Emanuele, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side at the age of 69. Born in Milwaukee, she graduated from South Division High School, retired from Magnetek in 2019 and had lived in New Berlin for 36 wonderful years.
Karen will forever be remembered by her adoring family. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 48 years, John, her loving children John (Sarah) and Gina (John), and her cherished grandchildren; Tyler, Joseph, Mikayla, Anya, Kenley, Emery and Avery. Karen is further survived by her sister Barbara (the late Dave), sister-in-law Maria (Morry) and brothers-in-law Charlie (the late Marilyn) and Joe (Cindy). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her beloved dog Lexi.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Persick, mother Lottie Persick, sister Mary Hammernik, and nephew Rob Glaeser.
Karen’s zest for life was truly admirable. In their younger years, Karen and John thoroughly enjoyed going on Harley rides together. She found joy in the simple pleasures of Bingo, slot machines, crafts, reading, dancing, live music, and passionately supporting her grandchildren’s activities. She was an avid fan of the Packers and Brewers, she relished in family travel adventures – New Mexico, Texas and Disney to name a few and cherished decorating her home for every holiday, with Christmas being a particularly magical time in her household with lots of lights, decorations, plenty of sweet treats/chocolates and an abundance of gifts for her family. Her family and home meant the world to her.
Join us in a Celebration of Karen’s Life to be held at Heritage Funeral Homes in New Berlin (16880 W. National Ave.) on May 22, 2024, a Memorial Visitation will take place starting at 4:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 7pm.
Karen’s legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family will forever be treasured by those who knew her. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, let us hold her memory close to our hearts, celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
We all will miss Karen’s laugh and her beautiful eyes. Family will remain in our prayers. Dianna and Beef
My condolences to her loving family. May she rest in eternal peace. Years ago, when my mother worked at the Boston Store, she came home to share she waited on the sweetest woman who inquired about where my mom fit into the Emanuele Tribe family tree ( my mom Barbara was wearing her name tag) my mother was struck by how sweet, kind & loving Karen’s aura truly was. She was convinced that Karen gave off Heavenly qualities ♡
