nee Metsala Friday, June 27, 2003 age 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill Hamalainen. Loving mother of Richard Karen Hamalainen and Susan the late Richard Hawtrey, Proud grandmother of Christina Corey Megal, Nicole Billy Healy, Richard Todd Hamalainen, Theresa Mike Boardman, Richard Nicki, William and the late Laura Hawtrey. Dear great grandmother of Clorissa, Theadora, Dahlia Boardman, Alayna and Joseph Hawtrey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Tuesday, July 1 at 4 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Instate Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 1 PM until the time of service 4 PM. Mrs. Hamalainen was a member of Finnish-American Society and together with her husband served as sextons at Layton Park Lutheran Church for 25 years.
