Katie P. Wilkinson

Katie lost her battle with a life-long illness and chronic organ rejection. Katie was a true warrior. She fought each day to overcome every obstacle that she was faced with. She was courageous and a fighter—her body could not keep up with her spirit.

Katie was an inspiration to everyone she met. She was kind and generous to all. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, being with family, shopping, loved the holidays and decorating, loved fashion, was Broadway’s biggest fan, and loved all things Disney. Katie’s favorite trip was a Disney cruise. Katie’s favorite show was Wicked.

Katie is survived by her parents, Jim and Mary, and her dog, Elphie; her boyfriend, Brian Wright; Grandfather, Robert Miller, and Grandfather, Lou Wilkinson (Mary Ann), her cousin, Nicole Lange, whom she thought of as a sister, her Goddaughter, London Lange, as well as her Godmothers, Barb Miller, and Wanda Minske. Katie is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Katie was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Katherine Miller, and Grandmother, Patricia Wilkinson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to our family and friends for all they have done; Brian, Katie’s boyfriend, for his love and dedication to Katie; the compassionate nurses on 4NW at Froedtert Hospital, Katie’s team of doctors at Froedtert and Pittsburgh, the Hospice nurses, as well as Catholic Financial Life (Mary’s Employer) and Mary’s coworkers for their endless kindness and support over the years.

Katie will be forever loved and missed, but her spirit will live on in each of us!

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 6th, 2023 at the FUNERAL HOME from 2:30-5:30pm with a Celebration of Life service at 4:30pm.
