To the Marcinkiewicz family: I want to send my condolences and best wishes to all of you, even if very late here. I got the call to put the obit into the Freeman and immediately remembered the name, as I played Pack 592 Cub Scout baseball (gold team) at St. Matthias for a year or two back in the late ’70s, remember playing with Eric on that team, as well as a kid named Aaron who could clobber that ball! I also remember Coach Marcinkiewicz as a firm coach, but fair, and wanted to make sure that even the kids that sucked, like me, got to play and felt they had a place at the table. His encouragement and mentorship was never forgotten and appreciated more and more as I got older, for his giving of his time to mold the adults of tomorrow so long ago. We were only there for a couple years before moving on to West Allis and Holy Assumption in a new neighborhood, where my parents later became heavily involved in the activities of children like coaching and scouting, no doubt influenced by people like Ken. Thanks, coach, and best wishes to teh entire family. Brian Huber
