Passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his beloved wife at his side, on Wednesday April 18, 2012 at the age of 70 years. Preceded in death by his parents Marvin Smith and Genevieve Smith nee Ludeman.

Loving husband and best friend of Suzanne K. Martin Smith. Dear brother of Douglas Gail Smith of Lapeer, MI, Donna Winter of Sedona, AZ and Bonnie Haines of Rochester Hills, MI. Uncle of Dale Winter; Duwane, Joel and Kellie Smith; and Lee, Robby and Danny Haines. Father of Barbie and Veronica. Grandpa of Christopher and Michael. Son-in-law of Esther Martin of Cudahy, WI. Brother-in-law of Jeffrey Jackie Damask, Sandi Steve Schaufelberger and Sharon Blaine Bukowski. Special friend of Estelle Melancon and Timmy Polkey of Westwego, LA. Kerry will be grieved by his canine pal Buddy, and is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Private services were held.

Kerry loved to travel, fish and play cards but mostly loved spending time with his family.
