Leona was born Feb 27, 1919 in Milwaukee where she lived her life and raised her family. She married Norbert “Nibby” in 1956. They had a great 42 yrs together. Leona’s dreams were realized in her lifetime; marriage, children, grandchildren and a home where all would gather. Leona was known for her servant heart, hospitality and warm welcome to all. “What can I get you?” and “How are you?” were her trade mark. Remember her saying “Enna right” and “And how!” with enthusiasm? Remember her laugh and joke telling? She loved to knit and crochet there is still yarn in every nook and cranny of her room, sew clothes, feed the birds and spent time gardening, raking or shoveling snow. She loved to play the organ and polka music. Everyone will remember her ornate birthday cakes and pies. Leona lived for the holidays, especially Christmas. She would shower all with gifts. Leona was so thankful for everything. She had a deep and abiding belief in God. Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. She struggled with chronic pain all her life rarely complained and lived the verse she believed in. She took great pride and delight in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren And How!. Thank you God for giving us 90 years of Leona.
