Hermann, Lloyd George
September 11, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Survived by his constant companion and loving wife of 41 years, Ella nee Bronkema, brother, Donald Lucille Hermann of LaCrescent , WI, and sister, Rita the late Melvin Wicka of Dodge, WI. Also survived by mother-in-law, Lydia Bronkema, sisters-in-law, Irene Hermann, Judy Fleming and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Joseph, siblings Joseph Hermann, Eleanor Galewski, Isabel Buege, Dorothy Colclasure, Jopy Hermann, Gerald Hermann and Eldon Hermann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 11AM, at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church 5424 W. Bluemound Rd. Visitation at church from 10AM until the time of Mass 11AM. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery.
Lloyd was born in Arcadia, WI on March 28, 1923, to Elizabeth nee Hegenbart and Joseph Hermann. Although visually impaired, Lloyd worked on the family farm for many years. He attended the Janesville School for the Blind until the death of his father when he was called home to help on the farm. He later worked at Arcadia Industries now Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, WI and the Wisconsin Workshop for the Blind in Milwaukee as a machinist. Lloyd was a member of the Badger Association of the Blind and the Midwest Association of the Blind.
He will be missed for his mischievous sense of humor, his beautiful outlook on life and the many knock-knock jokes he told.
