Mollner, Lois M.

(nee Flagge)  Reunited with her beloved husband, Reinhardt “Reiny” on Sunday, March 12, 2023 age 92 years.  Loving mother of Mari (Paul) Topitzes, Stephen, Andrea (Gerard) Piotrowski, Vanessa (Peter) Stenglein, Maxine (Richard) Creamer and Elyse (Frank) Stackhouse.  Dear sister of Catherine (Harold) Charlier and Charles (Karen) Flagge.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was so proud; Alexandra (Jim), Madeline (Daryl), Michaela, Robert (Liz), Noah, Savannah, Maddisyn, Todd, Nicholas (Camille), Evan (Nanako), Corinne, Stuart (Kimberly), Tayler (Brendan), Marek, Tripp, John, Dominic, Maximilian, Kenneth, Nicholas, Nathan, Isabella, Krysta, Matthew, Julianna, Ryan (Mary), Jason, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Rachel, Nicolas, Daniel, Emily. Preceeded in death by Michael and Christy.
Lois grew up the near north side, and met Reiny in grade school at St. Joseph parish. She and her sister Cathy attended St. Mary’s Academy where she also sent all 5 of her daughters. She attended the annual class reunion and mass every October and kept in touch with the remaining classmates.
She went back to work in 1970 when not many women worked outside the home, to make sure all of her children could attend Catholic grade school and high school. She was a bookkeeper and secretary at Bostrom and ended her career as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President of KCS Industries.
Lois and Reiny were founding members of St. Gregory the Great Parish.  They canvassed the neighborhood recruiting members for a new church as houses were going up, and were active Home & School members for the parish school. Lois was a founding member of the Christian Women Society, holding every office. She joined the Widows Group in 1999 when her husband died and remained a member until her death. She welcomed new members and shared how her faith brought her through the darkest times after he died.  In the Christian Women and the Widow’s Groups she kept long standing friendships and made new ones that she treasured and gave her a full life in retirement and widowhood.
