Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 89. Loving wife of Ed Sanicki for 53 years before he passed in 2009. Treasured mother of Barb (Bob) Monnat, Michael, and Tom (Katye) Sanicki, cherished grandma of Sam and Charlie Monnat, and Lauren, Ryan, Steven, and Danny Sanicki. Beloved daughter of Helen and Roy Young and sister of Ralph Young who sadly perished at age 18 near the end of World War II, June 6, 1945 in the Philippines. Lois was a deeply devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandma who selflessly put her family before all else. She was a kind, loyal, and generous friend to so many who always put others needs before her own. Her attitude was always bright and positive and her faith and spirit always strong. We love her dearly and will miss her deeply. Huge thanks for the amazing support and care provided by Aurora Home Hospice for the past nine months.

Visitation Friday, December 14, from 10 AM – 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (3722 S. 58th St.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Private interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
