Garvens, Lorraine R. ?Babe?
Of East Troy, found peace, Weds. March 19, 2003 at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center, at age 84 yrs. Born to parents Ralph P. Craft and Nellie nee Allen on Nov. 20, 1918 in the town of Delafield. Babe is a graduate of Waukesha High School. On March 24, 1951 Babe married Robert Garvens in Harland, WI. For most of her working years, Babe worked as a cook at the East Troy public schools and also Linden Terrace. Babe has been a member of the East Troy area for more than 50 years, as well as a member of the St James United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Redbird Church Circle.
Lorraine is survived by her husband: Robert of East Troy, Son: Allen of Genoa, WI and Daughter: Rebecca ?Becky? Dennis Johnson of Elkhorn. Also surviving are her Grandchildren Crystal Tameling, Sara Dowdy, Andy and Michael Garvens and Great Grandchild Jason Tarling, Jr.. Brother and Sister in laws, other relatives and friends also survived her.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday March 30, 2003 at 2 PM, with a time of gathering from 1PM until the time of service, All at St James United Methodist Church. Pastor Joan Goebel officiating. Inurnment Oakridge Cemetery. Memorials to the Church appreciated.
