LuAnn Fay Lambrecht

LuAnn Fay (nee Lemke) Lambrecht died peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 80 years from Alzheimer’s disease. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

LuAnn was born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 12, 1944, just three minutes after the birth of her identical twin sister, LeAnn. God kept his promise and adopted her into his family by means of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on December 28, 1944.

After being instructed in the fundamentals of Christian faith, she proclaimed the Triune God as her Savior-God and confirmed her Christian faith at County Line Lutheran Church on May 25, 1958, at rural Fox Lake, WI. By the grace of God, LuAnn vowed to remain true to her Lord and his word until death, a promise the Spirit empowered her to keep all her life.

The Lord led her life and that of Gerhardt Lambrecht to come together. On July 25, 1964, they promised to remain true to each other as husband and wife and were married at County Line Lutheran Church. The Lord blessed them with 60 years of marriage.

They were blessed with three children: Lothair (Dawn); Larissa (Dan) Wagner; and Natasha Viands.

They were blessed with 7 grandchildren: Christopher (Briana) and Andrew Lambrecht; Jacob (Sarah) and Harrison Wagner; Alexandra and Elliott Lambrecht; Ava Viands.

They were additionally blessed with four great grandchildren; Lily, Bradley, and Benjamin Wagner; Brooks Lambrecht.

She is survived by Gerhardt, her husband; her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her twin sister LeAnn (Orlan) Lambrecht; Her brother-in-law, Orlan Lambrecht; and a brother, Lauren Lemke.

LuAnn’s life was a life of service. Her family treasures memories of her love and deep care for them – both children and grandchildren. This was her highest purpose in life. Second was her love for singing – a lifelong joy. Starting as a child with her sister, LeAnn, LuAnn performed beautiful praises to the Lord in church. She loved singing hymns of worship in church choirs. Even though Alzheimer’s confused her thoughts, when she heard a familiar hymn her voice joined in song as beautifully as ever. Her beautiful voice led Gerhardt to call her his angel for all 60 years of marriage – right up to the very end.

The Lambrecht family extends our gratitude to the caregivers of Heritage Senior Living of Muskego and the loving and devoted medical staff of Brighton Hospice for the care given to our loved one.

Visitation will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, S66W14325 Janesville Rd, Muskego, on Saturday September 28 from 10am – 12pm, followed by the memorial service at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Wisconsin Lutheran High School or WELS Lutherans for Life.

    Dear Gerhardt and family,
I just happened to look at the obituraries in the paper today and saw Luann’s name. Jean and I were sorry to hear about her death and want to extend our support to you at this time of loss. LuAnn was indeed a great christian woman and makes me think of the woman in Proverbs chapter 31 where it says her husband and her children rise up in respect and call her blessed.. All of you in this family who have known her have been blessed by her and will never forget how she has touched your lives. May her deeds of love warm your hearts until you see her again in heaven.
