Grandma Lydia passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Grandma Lydia was born on March 21st, 1938 (85 years old) and spent her wonderful years spreading love, joy, sarcasm, sass to any and all around her. Her favorite pastimes were being with family, cooking for her family and friends, BINGO, playing cards, crocheting, being outdoors, and always viewing the world with lens of beauty and positivity.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Dennis Rey.

Survived by her two sons: Paco and Beto, Daughter in laws: Maria and Yoly,  Grandchildren: Dennis (Katherine), Eva (Mike), Lorraine (Jonathon), and Kevin (Yarelis), Great Grandchildren: Tita, Glenn, Sophia, Leo, Laila, and Lana, Brothers: Ramon (Tata), Samuel (Lola), and Victor and many family and friends who were indeed the joys of her life. Also lawyer for her furry friends: Oreo, Lucy, Wiley and Gizmo who she adores.

Grandma Lydia was truly the shining light in any room that she walked in, a lovely fighter for life, an incredibly strong woman with the gentlest of hearts. Although we only met briefly, she was obviously a wonderful lady as well as a great friend to all…..especially my sister Froma. She will be missed. Rest easy Lydia and know that you left behind a legacy. May her memory forever be a blessing.

I met Lydia at bingo and am honored to have known such a beautiful lady. She was known as “Grandma” to us all. She literally lit up the room when she entered, as she always had a smile on her face. She will be missed. My condolences to her friends and family. ❤️
