Repka, Lynn M.

(Nee Yauger)

Lynn M. Repka, age 79, of Taylor, Wisconsin, was born to Eternal Life Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022, with her family at her side.

Lynn was born in Algoma, Wisconsin on August 20, 1942, daughter of the late Julius C. and Sylvia H. (Dier) Yauger.   She attended St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac while living at the St. Agnes Convent and training to be a nun.  She graduated in 1959.  After graduation, she left the convent to go back home to Two Rivers to help out the family and decided not to return.  Lynn then moved to Milwaukee to attend Patricia Steven’s Career College and Finishing School and graduated with certificates in Executive Secretarial Training and Airline Training.

While in Milwaukee, Lynn met her future husband, Jack, and they were married on April 27th, 1963.  They soon started a family and Lynn remained at home to focus on their 5 boys.  Once they were older, she returned to work where she spent several years in retail management and bookkeeping at Kmart before finishing her career as a bookkeeper for Chase Bank.  In 2002, Lynn and Jack “retired” and moved to Taylor, WI.  After a few months of “retirement” Lynn decided she wasn’t ready to retire and she earned a CNA license and worked as a caregiver at Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls until 2015.

Lynn’s faith was a central part of her life.  She rarely missed a Sunday church service, taught CCD classes and loved to use her baking skills to donate baked goods for church services and other events.

Lynn loved to dance, craft, listen to country music, camp, hike (especially in the Upper Peninsula during the fall colors), bake cakes for weddings and other events and was a diehard Packer fan.

Lynn is survived by her husband John, “Jack”, their sons Michael (Beth) Repka, John (Donna) Repka, Joseph Repka, Steven Repka, and Timothy (Wendy) Repka; grandchildren: Amanda (Dustin) Zahn, Matthew Repka, Mark Repka, Katherine (Sean) Murphy, Emma Repka, Rachel Repka, Carli Repka, John “JJ” Repka, Tyler Repka and Travis Repka; great grandchildren: Ayda Murphy, and Raelynn Zahn and sister-in-law,  Paulette Yauger. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald (Connie) Yauger, her brother Dennis Yauger, her in-laws John and Eva Repka and sister-in-law and husband, Theresa (Arnold) Jaraczewski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST PARISH, 8500 W. Coldspring Rd. from 10-11:15am with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. (We will meet at the main entrance of the cemetery at 1:15PM). In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John the Evangelist Parish, www.stjohns-grfd.org or Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601 www.act.alz.org/donate are appreciated.
