Reed, Lynne M.
Born to eternal life on February 3, 2020 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of Henry. Dear mother of John (Kristen), Brian, and the late Patrick. Loving grandmother of Emma and Michael. Sister of Chip Whitsitt and Richard (Julie Hilton) Whitsitt. Best friend of Mary McAndrews. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, from 9 AM – 11 AM, at Holy Apostles Parish (16000 W. National Ave.). Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM.
Lynne was an avid knitter, volunteer for the homeless, and a foster parent for H.A.W.S. Dedicated B.S.A. leader for over 30 years. Proud career nurse. Special thanks to Lynne’s Army (you know who you are), Froedtert Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff, and Deb Schmidt and Lynn Nass for all their familial support. In lieu of flowers, memorials are apprenticed to H.A.W.S.
Lynne was such a beautiful soul. She had a huge heart for all those she loved and cared about. She always had a smile and a hug ready. We shared many happy memories of channel 10 camping, cribbage tournaments, campfires, funny stories, and life lessons. She will be greatly missed.
Lynne was so much more than a cousin to our family and we thought lovingly of her as our sweet sister. Her heart was so gentle and kind. We have so many precious memories together and I will always cherish the prayer shawl she knit for me. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved her.
Many years have passed, but we have fond memories of Lynne and Henry in the Community of John XXIII. Our thoughts and prayers are with Henry and family.
My heart holds a hole in it. She was so loving and full of life. I loved being in the family. I would of loved camping once with her an Hank. It must of been a blast. Your never gonna be forgotten.
A beautiful soul. I will always cherish the memories of our “college” get togethers over the last 40 plus years. UNO games will never be the same. I will miss you my friend
