(nee Shebel.) Dec. 1, 2012 at the age of 103 yrs. Beloved wife for 59 years of the late Leonard. Dear mother of Marlen (Arlene), Thomas (Linda), and Lyle. Grandmother of Timothy, the late Cami, Brad, Dawn, Anthony, Lisa, Susan, David and Marianne. Further survived by 12 great-grandchildren, with another on the way, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Fri. Dec. 7th, 4:30-8pm at the funeral home and Sat. 10:30am until time of Mass at 11 am at ST. MARY’S CHURCH-Hales Corners, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave. Entombment Mt. Olivet.
Margaret was born on a farm in Durham Hill. At the age of 4, her family moved to a farm at Forest Home and Grange. She graduated from West Allis High School and Milwaukee State Teachers College (now UWM.) She taught 3 & 4th grades at Johnson School on 92nd St. She received an award for outstanding teaching excellence from the State of Wisconsin. Margaret married Leonard in 1939 at St. Mary’s. After a career move to Madison, Margaret and Leonard returned to Hales Corners to garden and grew apples until Leonard’s death at which time the Village of Hales Corners acquired the home and is now the current site of the Hales Corners Fire Dept.
Margaret had a lifelong devotion to her God and church and spent many hours of her life in service to the church.
