Margaret Jean Volk

(Nee Blink) passed away on Sunday, May 28th, 2017, at the age of 97. Margaret was born November 8, 1919 at her family’s home on Forest Home Avenue, the second in a family of six children. For over 50 years she was the loving wife of George Volk who preceded her in death on January 13, 2002. He was the President of Hoye Heating Co. She and George were both active members of Tuckaway Country Club for over 50 years and she proudly had her first hole in one there. When not golfing, her favorite activities included sewing, cooking, and lunching. Margaret was a long time Milwaukee southsider, graduating from Pulaski High School and living her married years in Hales Corners and Franklin before spending her final years as a resident of The Village of Manor Park in West Allis.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Rivera and Tom(Jackie) Volk; her grandchildren, Colleen(Ben) Isaacson and Corey(Charlene) Volk; her great-grandchildren, Holley Isaacson(12), Melissa Isaacson(7), and Ensley Volk(2). She is further survived by one sister, Arlene Freiberg and many nieces and nephews. There will be a family gathering to remember and honor Margaret at a later date.
