Loosen, Mari L.
(nee Roszkowski) Age 58 of Oak Creek. Passed away peacefully on Friday July 13th, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mari is survived by her husband of 36 years Scott, children Ryan (Nichole) Loosen and Andrew (Stacey) Loosen, grandchildren Sawyer and Presley Loosen, parents Edward and Patricia Roszkowski, as well as many close friends and extended family.
Mari graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1977. She then attend Marquette University and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Medical Technology.
After graduating Mari completed an internship at Milwaukee County General Hospital and then went on to work at South Milwaukee Medical Clinic for 13 years. Mari left the medical field shortly after her husband opened their own home improvement company, Superior Improvements. Mari will always be remembered for her cheerful disposition with clients and her endless enthusiasm for talking.
Anyone that knew Mari knew a skein of yarn was close by. She loved to knit and later enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of many different fiber groups and made a number of lifelong friendships with people she met.
Above all else, Mari cherished her husband, sons, grandchildren, and parents.
Mari could often be heard reminding women to do their monthly self-check breast exams. In her memory we would like to encourage women to do the same.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Francis Cuevas, the Reiman Cancer Center, and Vitas Hospice Care specifically Nurse Cyndi, Nurse Chris, and Home Health Aide Suzanna.
Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm on Saturday July 21st with a service following at 2 pm. The visitation and service will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church 7900 Nicholson Rd. in Caledonia.
Should friends desire, memorials to the family are appreciated.
