Maria Del Refugio Cerna Diaz, age 71, was called to Heaven on February 8th, 2020.  Born on July 25th, 1948.  Daughter of Rafael Cerna Moreno and Josefina Diaz Franco. Mother of Jose Guzman, Adriana Guzman, Juan Guzman, Federico Guzman, Claudia Arenas and Jesus Guzman.  She had 2 sisters and 3 brothers: Maria Soledad Cerna Diaz, Maria Luisa Cerna Diaz, Jose Zavala Diaz, Rodolfo Cerna Diaz and Jose Guadalupe Cerna Diaz. 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Homes (6615 W. Oklahoma Ave.) on Friday, February 14th, from 10-12pm with a funeral service to take place at 11am.  Burial to immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Maria was a loving and caring lady. She loved her family and friends tremendously. Maria also loved to make new friends and went on to love anyone and everyone who she came upon. She was full of color and brightness. Overall Maria was a happy and loving soul. Her memory will be cherished by all those who’s lives she has touched.
