Was handed to the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior, from the loving embrace of Edmund ? her husband, best friend, dance partner, soul mate, and loving companion of over 59 years. She will also be welcomed home by her parents, Anthony and Clara Urbaniak, and her brothers Alvin and Leonard Urbaniak.

Marian was born on the south side of Milwaukee and attended Oklahoma grade school. She completed her grade school education at St. Gerard school where she was active in the school choir. After moving to West Allis, she completed junior high school, at which time she enrolled at West Allis Vocational School. She spent over 4 years there pursuing her goal of becoming a secretary, bookkeeper, and businessperson. She was also active in the school newspaper. During this time she worked as a part-time maid for the Trimborn family. Upon completion of her education, she was selected by the Kerney and Trecker Corporation in the Engineering Investigation Department and remained with the corporation for over seven years. She was also active in their choir. When Edmund returned from 4 years in service, they immediately married. Marian became active in their businesses as secretary, bookkeeper, treasurer, and assistant manager of Edmar?s Inc. for over 35 years. Some of their business ventures included Edmar Meat & Groceries, Edmar Meats, Down and Under Lanes and Lounge, and Quik Chek Food and Beverage, as well as numerous income properties.

Marian felt one of her greatest legacies was her family. Children: James Lori Lea, Thomas, Ann Marie Ronald Zlensky, Mark, and Laureen Michael Donath.

Granchilldren: Catherine David Toso, Amy Lynn Ed Graczyk, Stefanie Dave Wucherer Gigowski, Marie Rutkowski, AnnMarie Gigowski, Charles and Edmund Berg, and Yolanta and Hanya Gigowski.

Her precious great-granddaughters: Micah Lynn Graczyk and Aria Rose Toso.

Her step-grandchildren: Basia John Elmore, Tim Rutkowski, Capree Graczyk, Kevin, Randy, and Brad Zlensky, and Michael, Amanda, Matthew, and Mackenzie Donath.

She is further survived by a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday Feb. 12 at HOLY APOSTLES CHURCH, 16000 W. National Ave., at 10:00 AM. Please meet at church.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 ? 8:00 PM.

Marian and Edmund were devoted to the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph and prayed the rosary avidly. Memorials in Marian?s name will be used by the family for masses honoring deceased Urbaniak and Gigowski family members.
