Reichert, Marianna

Passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2009, at the age of 78, with her family surrounding her. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Rudolf Reichert Jr.; her sons Frank Carol Reichert and Peter Maria ZoskeReichert; and her grandchildren Ben, Brian, Rhiannan, Garrett, and Raymond. She was preceded in death by her dear parents Franz and Anna Stroehr, and her brother, Emil.

Marianna was a very caring and loving “Oma”, with tenderness and concern for all her grandchildren. Although she worked hard, she lived for her family. Caring for her husband, sons and spouses, and her grandchildren as her main avocation in life.

Marianna also gave much of herself to the community by caring for the elderly. She received an award and commendation for her exemplary work as an older worker in our community.

Marianna took the long way home, having been born in the Czech Republic, immigrated to Germany and then on to America in 1956. She is also survived by her loving family and friends in Germany.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, at the Funeral Home, from 9 – 11 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 11 AM.
