Marie
Frischmann
Formerly of Cudahy and St. Francis, WI
Passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021 at 95 years of age. Marie was the sixth of ten children born to Anna and John Frischmann and spent the majority of her life in the original homestead in St. Francis before moving to the Washington Square Apartments in Cudahy and finally, the Villa St. Francis in Milwaukee. Marie retired from Allen-Bradley Manufacturing (Rockwell Automation) and led an independent, quiet and simple life of knitting, reading and painting.
She is predeceased by her parents (John and Anna), her nine siblings (Adolph, Martha, Joseph, Rose, Anna, Carl, Robert, Fredrick and Lawrence) and their spouses. Marie is also predeceased by some nieces and nephews, the most recent being her niece, Marian “Micki” Nelson (Hart), whom we believe Marie stopped and picked up along the way on June 7th. Marie was the godmother to a number of her nieces and “best Auntie” to the remaining nieces and nephews scattered across the United States who survive her; each of us having our own special memories.
The family would like to thank the ENTIRE staff at the Villa St. Francis for their exceptional care over the past 15 months, especially during the intense months of the COVID-19 pandemic. A special thank you to Liz and John at Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care during these past few months.
No funeral service will be held and Auntie’s ashes will be spread on the site of the old homestead.
