Aunt Etta, you were a wonderful Aunt, I could talk to you about anything. I always felt better after that. You have always been there for me. I appreciated you and always will. You’ve said that you prayed for me and my sisters over the years, and it’s a peaceful feeling knowing you still will from heaven. Love you so, so much, and will miss you endearingly.

And first and foremost, thank you for teaching me how to tie my shoes when I was young!

Aunt Marietta was truly one of a kind who made her mark on all of us. I will forever be grateful for our visits and regular phone conversations over the years. She was so good natured and always open for a conversation, extremely supportive, would give advice, yet was never judgemental. I always felt in a better place after talking with her. My own daughters have a closeness with her that I, as their mom, cherish that they had that. Our hearts are hurting, but we know she’s in a better place. We are still human, so yes we are sad, heartbroken, and gonna miss our wonderful aunt who was an amazing human and Christian woman. I know she will now be our Angel with Heaven as her home, and I can already hear her contagious laugh and sense of humor being enjoyed by everyone there.

Those of you who know her, know that I, along with many others, will miss getting mail from her with the stickers decorating the envelope. That was kind of her trademark. Loved it!!

Sending my sincere condolences to all of Marietta”s family. She was a classmate and graduate of mine at New Ulm and a dear friend. We saw each other occasionally over the years, especially when her and Carl would come to Fort Atkinson to see Carl and Sue Floerke. Marietta was always a happy, positive Christian lady with a wonderful smile. She is now perfect, praising God for eternity with her beloved Carl beside her. Thanks be to God for the victory Marietta now has to enjoy.
